About

How I got here

I always moved a lot and to begin with yoga was just another activity ….

Confronted with 3 pregnancies, then parenting young kids in Costa Rica, my practice evolved into something more - a refuge to take care of me. I finally learned to balance noise and movement with quiet and stillness. At least occasionally!

After 20 years as a student I did Teacher Training to deepen my own practice. But something happened.

I realized that sharing what works for me had value for others. And I love doing it. 

On returning to Switzerland in 2015 I left the world of International Organisations and started SimplyYoga (& StudioHQ in Mies for 3 years). I still move a lot –plunging in cold lakes, trail running and snowboarding across the Alps - but I explore my inner world too. My practice nurtures me mind, body & soul. And I share what I learn with others.

I firmly believe that yoga is for all sizes, genders, shapes, histories and levels of fitness/mobility. The benefits are deep and wide especially if we want to live long and healthy into the future! And you never have to stop. You simply have to start. I warmly invite you to join me.….. 

My teaching reflects my practice

I teach intelligently sequenced Vinyasa (flow) suitable for most bodies. Each class is unique, exploring specific themes for a few weeks with a focus on yoga for functional movement & healthy aging.

Regular students enjoy their progress. Beginners are welcome and I encourage everyone to accommodate as they need. For an intro to the basics with supervision try a Foundation Courses. I teach in English and also speak French.

I focus my classes on yoga for functional movement & healthy aging: improving mobility, posture and bone strength whilst boosting immunity neural networks and heart health. And crucially guarding against falls, osteoporosis and the effect of stress.

I love to play and the exploration never stops.

I believe yoga should be fun and playful and I encourage curiosity and exploration. If you ‘achieve’ something you simply move to another, more subtle, layer. My classes help you move forward or sideways in small steps, always savouring each breath and moment.

I teach small-group and private classes to a friendly group of international students in my home studio in Commugny and at Mies Plage. There are online classes to practice in the comfort of your own home - or get the video replay or on-demand library. I share regular Aroma Workshops and Retreats and from May-Sep offer SUP yoga on the sparkling Lac Léman.

I’ve been practicing more than 35 years and teaching since 2015. I have students who’ve been with me since I started and it’s a privilege to share their journey. I continue to experience and observe in others that everyone can reap the vast benefits of regular yoga practice. You just need to start. Join me ….
